Product Reviews

I'll start with the Me-In-Mind shoes. I give these 2 out of 5 stars. Just 2 stars because while they are extremely stylish as show in exhibit A.

A.

They make his feet shaped like they are horse hooves as shown in exhibit B.

B.

And they fall off easier than socks do as you can see in exhibit C.

C.

Overall I was pretty disappointed. I must say they have the best designs around, unfortunately the benefits of a stylish foot do not outweigh the inconvenience of searching for a lone shoe on the floor of a grocery store. I also felt the "thin foam cushion insert" is not only not needed in a 0-6 month shoe but also not beneficial for little toes to try and grip on to the ground while working on their standing technique.
Bottom line: I don't feel the $12 was a total waste and I think they will fit better when he's closer to 6 months but I'm glad I didn't buy all 7 pair I wanted and happy I started with a $12 pair instead of the $24.

Now for the Baby Legs

They get a whopping 5 out of 5 stars. I'll even go crazy and give them 6 stars. I was concerned about them staying up on legs with chunky monkey thighs and little calves. I was afraid they would constantly slip down or if they didn't slip down, they would be so tight they would cut his circulation off. Neither of these are the case.

They stay up great and seem just as comfortable with plenty of room for growth. Not to mention their convenience for a quick and hassle free diaper change. They are extremely versatile. You can do so much in them:

You can watch TV...

do some tummy time...

Or even faint in them and they don't budge.

We'll even try Yoga in them next week.

Bottom line: I'm going back for more!

I hated shoes that wouldn't stay on and made my babes feet look weird. And where were these leggins 6 and 3 years ago lol.

I've been hunting around for good baby shoes for Owen. We have some handmedowns but I'm vain, I want cute ones. With monkeys. Haven't been able to get his toes uncurled long enough for shoes anyway, so I guess it's a moot point.

The baby legs -- those are plain rad. Work it, little J.

I feel bad because I recommended Me in Mind. Maybe it's the age thing b/c my one year old can not kick them off, no matter how hard she tries! Maybe I've never noticed the hoof thing b/c my daughter is walking? I'm so sorry you had a bad experience. I hope I can still lurk on your site?! I'll keep my suggestions to myself from now on. Sorry J.

Oh Elb, don't go anywhere! I was afraid you would feel bad, I almost put a disclaimer up for you. I'm still very happy to know about the site and despite my review I'm sure I'll buy more of them as he gets older. Their styles rock too much to not buy anymore! If they didn't fall off I'd be all over them..so I'm sure he'll grow into them better.

I'm SO totally going to knit some of those leg warmers. For what, I really don't know. My little one doesn't really need them but I'm a sucker for something fun to knit.

I'm surprised to hear about the shoes. Maybe J just has skinny ankles, lol. I hope they fit better down the road. I've always used Robeez shoes and their sole purpose was keeping the socks ON :)

The leg warmer are too cute. Do his upper thighs get cold though? That would be my only "worry" for my baby, probably because I always think he is going to be cold!

Kiki - J is such a little hot box that he never really seems to be cold. I wouldn't take him outside in those in cold weather b/c then I'm sure his upper thighs would get cold. But for him in our house they are perfect.

Kelli - yes, tons o great girlies, check 'em out. Gianna would look like such a hottie. and yeah, why couldn't they make our thigh highs that well? Remember I got called into the principals office for wearing thigh highs to school? And then the next year they were so popular everyone wore them to school.

Supa - I have a pair of monkey Robeez but they are 6-12 months so we're waiting for him to grow into them. And J's toes are still all curly too and techinically his feet rarely touch the ground. My main reason for putting shoes on the boy is A. to keep socks on and toes warm and B. for style baby!

I just noticed I have way more comments here than what has been emailed to me. Blogger sucks..or is it Yahoo...must check bulk folder.

I think I will get the baby legs. They seem perfect for Bella so that she can wear her little dresses in the winter! Cute pics!

I just bought a pair based solely on those photos. They are so super cute! I thought they were just an EC thing, but Julian proved me wrong, eh? LOL

That sucks about the shoes. Maybe they'll stay on a little better as his foot gets bigger? It's so hard keeping anything on a baby's foot.

I have never heard of the "baby legs" legwarmers! I am so going to have to get a pair for my little girl to wear with her skirts. They are just too cute!!

I really like the styles on the m-in-m site. My little one wears Robeez, are they like that in fitting? I might have to purchase some anyway because their so stylish. "Anything for fashion", eh? :)
